What Are Fat Dissolving Injections & Do They Work?

House of Saab - aesthetic clinic

What are fat dissolving injections?

Intralipotherapy, more commonly known as fat dissolving injections, is a procedure performed by certified professionals to target specific areas of fat.

There are certain areas of the body that will not be able to budge excess fat – no matter how much you exercise or try to tone up. These injections can be used on the face or body but are most commonly used for excess fat under the chin, hips, stomach, upper arms, and thighs.

It is a minimally invasive procedure but an excellent option for those who prefer a non-surgical option.

Are they safe?

The main components in this treatment are Deoxycholic Acid, a range of vitamin B’s and extracted plant compounds. Together, these ingredients liquify fat cells which are then expelled by the body naturally. The side effects and risks of fat loss injections are very low, including most commonly; some light pain, bruising or swelling at the injection site.

It is important to choose a reputable clinic as there have been growing reports of sales of fake products. At House of Saab, we only use top of the range treatments and all our staff are fully trained to give you the best and safest experience.

How long do the effects last?

The great news is that the results are permanent. As the specific fat cells have been destroyed, those cells are completely removed from the body.

If you have any other questions about any side effects, please talk to a member of the House of Saab team, they will be happy to answer any queries for you.

How long until I see results?

Everybody is different so some results can be faster than others. It is recommended that most clients need between 2 – 4 treatment sessions, one month apart. It can take around 12 weeks to see results but once they are there, they are permanent!

There is almost no downtime, the main side effect is swelling that should go down within 2-7 days.
