OVERVIEW
What is a droopy nose?
A droopy nose, also known as nasal ptosis or a drooping tip, refers to a condition where the tip of the nose hangs or sags downward. This can be caused by various factors, including aging, weakened nasal cartilage, previous nasal surgeries, or certain medical conditions. In some cases, people may seek cosmetic interventions, such as rhinoplasty or non-surgical treatments like Botox, to address or improve the appearance of a droopy nose.
How is droopy nose lifting treated?
In this non-surgical cosmetic procedure, small amounts of botulinum toxin (commonly known as Botox) are strategically injected into the muscles around the nose to achieve a lifting effect. This approach is used to alter the appearance of the nose by targeting specific muscles that contribute to the downward movement of the nasal tip. By temporarily relaxing these muscles, the opposing muscles gain more influence, creating a subtle lifting effect on the nose tip.
