OVERVIEW

How does eyebrow transplant surgery work?

At House of Saab, we offer natural-looking eyebrow restoration using the advanced FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique. This highly precise procedure involves carefully extracting healthy hair follicles from a discreet area of your scalp—typically behind the ears or the lower back of the head—and implanting them into the eyebrow region to enhance shape, fullness, and symmetry.

Each hair is meticulously placed by our experienced surgeons, following a custom-designed brow shape that complements your facial features. The angle, depth, and direction of every follicle are matched to mimic natural eyebrow growth, ensuring a seamless and aesthetically pleasing result.

Visible improvements begin within a few months, with full growth achieved between 9 to 12 months. The results are your own natural hair—growing, shaping, and lasting like the real thing.

FAQ

We do not offer free consultations. Our consultation fee is £500, which reflects the in-depth, medically led approach we take to Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplants. This fee includes your initial consultation with a hair restoration specialist, along with all pre-operative assessments necessary to determine your suitability for FUE. These include:

  • A full medical history review and health screening

  • Blood tests (CBC, liver/kidney function, glucose levels, infection screening)

  • Scalp and donor area analysis, including hair density, calibre, and miniaturisation assessment

  • Digital imaging and graft planning

  • A personalised surgical plan tailored to your goals

Our aim is to ensure that every FUE procedure is safe, effective, and designed with long-term success in mind. This comprehensive assessment process allows us to deliver consistently high standards of care.

An eyebrow transplant may not be suitable for individuals with active hair loss conditions like alopecia areata, unmanaged trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder), poor donor hair availability, or certain skin or blood disorders. It’s also not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and heavy smokers may face slower healing. Candidates should have realistic expectations and be medically fit to undergo a minor surgical procedure.

Most eyebrow transplants require between 100 to 300 grafts per brow, depending on the desired density and existing hair. In total, around 200–600 grafts are usually needed for both brows.

Mild redness, scabbing, and swelling are common in the first few days. Scabs typically fall off within 7–10 days, and most clients resume normal activities within 1–2 days. Shedding of transplanted hairs occurs around 2–4 weeks, with new growth starting after 3 months.

Initial regrowth begins around 3 months post-treatment, with full, natural-looking results usually visible between 9 to 12 months.

The hairs will grow permanently, but since they come from the scalp, they may grow faster and longer than natural brows. Light trimming may be needed every 1–2 weeks to maintain shape.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, so you’ll be comfortable and awake. Most clients report only minor discomfort during recovery, managed with over-the-counter pain relief if needed.

Risks are minimal when performed by a qualified surgeon. Temporary redness, swelling, or shedding are common. Rare complications include ingrown hairs or minor infections, which can be prevented with proper aftercare.

If you do not qualify for the transplant surgery, there are alternative treatments available. Options include PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy which stimulates hair growth by using your own growth factors combined with microneedling, Calecim Advanced Hair System which supports follicle regeneration and strengthens existing hair using stem cell derived solutions.

We provide a range of payment options to our customers across all treatments and products. We have “Buy Now Pay Later” schemes active via Paypal Credit and Klarna, where you’re also presented with the option to split payments. Alternatively, we offer the option to pay in 2 or 3 instalments for our treatment package bookings, depending on the cost of package and number of sessions involved. You can find out more about these options on our dedicated Payment Options page.
