What are neck band lines?

Neck band lines, also known as platysmal bands, are visible lines or ridges on the neck caused by the contraction of the platysma muscle, which lies just beneath the skin. These lines can appear as horizontal or vertical bands and are often associated with aging, as skin loses elasticity and collagen over time. Other factors, such as genetics, repetitive neck movements, poor posture, and sun damage, can also contribute to their development. While they are a natural part of aging, treatments such as Botox, fillers, sylfirm x rf treatment reduces their appearance and achieve a smoother, more youthful look.

Does it work on reducing lines & wrinkles of the neck?

Anti-wrinkle injections can effectively reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the neck, particularly vertical neck bands caused by the platysma muscle. By injecting botulinum toxin into specific areas of the neck, the treatment relaxes the platysma muscle, softening prominent bands and creating a smoother, more youthful appearance.This approach is often referred to as the “Nefertiti lift,” named after the Egyptian queen known for her elegant neck.

What results and level of aftercare are expected?

The results are generally noticeable within a few days to a week after the treatment. While some individuals may see initial improvements sooner, the full effect of the treatment becomes more apparent up to 2 weeks after treatment. Afterwards, it is best to leave the treated area alone for up to 6 hours after treatment and sit upright, to allow for the product to settle effectively in place. This will also help to reduce the risk of bruising or swelling spreading to other areas. Heavy lifting, excessive sweating and use of alcohol need to be avoided for the first 24 hours.

What are the side effects of these injections?

Common issues include pain, bruising, and swelling at the injection site, along with possible redness and headaches. Muscle weakness, particularly in the treated area, can occur due to the temporary paralysis induced by the injections. Choosing a skilled and experienced healthcare professional for the procedure is crucial to minimize risks, and any concerns should be discussed at your consultation.

Yes we do, you are only required to pay a Deposit of £100 to secure a consultation with our aesthetic specialists, which is credited towards the cost of your treatment on the day or in near future, so you are not charged for consultation alone. However, you should wish to only consult us on the treatment, the deposit is deducted for consultation rate!

Determining suitability depends on individual health, medical history, and aesthetic goals. Generally considered safe, these injections are suitable for many people seeking to reduce facial wrinkles. However, pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, those with certain neuromuscular disorders, or allergies to ingredients in the injections are not suitable candidates. A consultation with a qualified healthcare professional is essential to assess individual eligibility, discuss potential risks, and tailor the treatment plan to specific needs and expectations.

Results can be noticeable shortly after one session, with initial improvements in skin smoothness and reduced fine lines. However, the full effects of the treatment may take a few days to a week to become apparent. While individual responses vary, repeated sessions are often advised for maintenance, typically every 3-4 months, to sustain the desired outcome.

Comfortable treatments for clients to undergo. In some cases, some slight discomfort may be felt but this is usually very minor and our clients do not often feel the need for anaesthesia, as needles used are very fine.
