OVERVIEW

What is Obagi Blue Radiance?

Obagi Blue Radiance Peel contains a unique blend of acids, including salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and lactic acid, which work together to remove damaged skin cells and stimulate skin renewal. This peel is used to address various skin concerns, such as fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, and sun damage. The Obagi Blue Radiance Peel is known for its ability to provide a brighter, smoother complexion by removing the outermost layers of the skin, revealing fresher, healthier skin underneath. It is a relatively mild peel, often referred to as a “lunchtime peel” because it requires minimal downtime.

Does Obagi Blue peel work on active acne?

Yes, the Obagi Blue Peel is considered effective for improving the appearance of the skin. It is a medium-depth chemical peel designed to address various skin concerns, including wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, uneven skin tone, and sun damage. The peel works by exfoliating the outer layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production, and promoting skin renewal. However, the effectiveness of the Obagi Blue Peel can vary based on individual factors such as skin type, the specific concerns being addressed, and the depth of the peel. A common recommendation is to undergo a series of sessions of minimum 3  with each session spaced about 2 weeks apart.

What results and level of aftercare are expected?

After undergoing the Obagi Blue Radiance Peel, it’s crucial to follow the recommended aftercare steps, including diligent sun protection and gentle skincare practices. This peel leads to a noticeably brighter and smoother complexion, reducing fine lines and promoting an even skin tone. The results, which continue to enhance in the following weeks, provide a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance, making it a popular choice for those seeking a  skin renewal option.

What are the side effects of Obagi Blue Peel?

The Obagi Blue Peel, like other chemical peels, may cause temporary side effects such as redness, swelling, and peeling of the skin. These effects are part of the skin renewal process and typically subside within a few days. In some cases, there might be slight discomfort or a stinging sensation during and after the procedure. It’s essential to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner to minimise these effects and achieve the best results.
