OVERVIEW

What is used for this treatment?

Neurotoxins, such as Botox, work by hindering the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for signalling muscle contractions. When administered to particular muscles, they disrupt the communication between nerves and muscles, resulting in temporary paralysis of the treated muscle.

This treatment effectively averts the exaggerated contractions of overactive muscles, ultimately preventing sagging mouth corners at rest, which sometimes leads to a downward-looking smile.

How does it help with droopy nose lift?

In this non-surgical cosmetic procedure, small amounts of botulinum toxin (Botox) are strategically injected into the underlying muscle dynamic around the mouth to achieve a lifting effect. It helps alleviate the downward pull and contributes to a more lifted and balanced appearance in the smile.

The treatment is carefully tailored to achieve a natural and subtle result, enhancing the smile’s overall aesthetic.

DETAILS

When are results expected? How about level of aftercare?

The effects typically become noticeable within a few days to a week after treatment. Although some may observe initial improvements earlier, the treatment’s full impact is most evident up to two weeks afterwards.

Following the procedure, it’s advisable to avoid touching the treated area for up to six hours and maintain an upright position. This allows the product to settle effectively, helping minimise the potential for bruising or swelling to extend to other areas.

Additionally, it’s recommended to avoid heavy lifting, excessive sweating, and alcohol consumption during the initial 24 hours after treatment.

What are the side effects of this treatment?

Although generally considered safe, these procedures typically result in temporary side effects. Common experiences include mild pain, bruising, and swelling at the injection site, along with possible redness and headaches. The injections may also induce temporary muscle weakness, particularly in the treated area.

It’s important to note that selecting a skilled and experienced healthcare professional significantly reduces potential risks.

Your concerns can be thoroughly addressed during your consultation, ensuring a confident and informed experience.

Determining suitability depends on individual health, medical history, and aesthetic goals. Generally considered safe, these injections are suitable for many people seeking to reduce facial wrinkles. However, pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, those with certain neuromuscular disorders, or those with allergies to the injections’ ingredients may not be suitable candidates. A consultation with a qualified healthcare professional is essential to assess individual eligibility, discuss potential risks, and tailor the treatment plan to specific needs and expectations.

Results from this treatment can be noticeable shortly after one session, with initial improvements in skin smoothness and reduced fine lines. However, the full effects may become apparent in a few days to a week. While individual responses vary, repeated sessions are often advised for maintenance, typically every 3-4 months, to sustain the desired outcome.

These injections are known to be comfortable treatments for clients to undergo. Some slight discomfort may be felt in some cases, but this is usually very minor, and our clients do not often feel the need for anaesthesia, as the needles used are very fine.

They are generally safe when administered by qualified professionals. Individual concerns and risks can be discussed during a consultation for a confident decision. We only use licensed and FDA-approved products by Allergan and BOTOX, which have undergone much research and development over recent years. This procedure is only performed by highly experienced medical professionals.

A review appointment after anti-wrinkle injections is often recommended but not always mandatory. It allows the healthcare professional to assess results, address concerns, and make any necessary adjustments. This is usually done within 2-4 weeks post-initial treatment.

We provide a range of payment options to our customers across all treatments and products.
